Urdu Teaching and Research Centre (UTRC), LUCKNOW

Dedicated towards the promotion, development of Urdu language and literature among non Urdu Speakers, Urdu Teaching and Research Centre (UTRC, LKO) was started on 20th September 1984 at a rented property in Lucknow. On 23rd June 2013, it was moved to its permanent campus at Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The centre is well connected to National and State Highways and has major Hotels, Hospitals, Colleges, Government Offices, Shopping malls, etc. in its neighborhood.

Available Amenities

  • The UTRC Lucknow has hostel, classroom, conference hall, dining room, library facilities, etc. for its trainees.

    • Offered Course/ Total Seats:

    10-month Diploma in Urdu Language / 30 (Thirty only) [ This course is primarily meant for In-service government Teachers. However, the center may also open this course for other eligible candidates. See prospects for details ]

    Other Academic Activities

  • The centers academically and financially collaborates with other Universities, Colleges and other Institutes in the organisations on Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, Training Programmes, BootCamps, etc. meant for the promotion and development of Urdu Language and Literature.

  • The Centre so far has organised 65 workshops, 30 seminars, 72 orientation Courses, 14 NI Camp, 10 Refresher Courses, 6 Contact programs (Correspondence Course in Urdu), 2 and Advisory Programmes. It has also set up 25 Book Corners in Uttar Pradesh.
